miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-148a-siRNA and rifampin inhibited estradiol upregulation of MRP3 expression. miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-148a may be involved in the estrogen induction in intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy via PXR (show NR1I2 Antibodies) signaling. MRP3 may be involved.
ABCC3 genetic variants are associated with postoperative morphine-induced respiratory depression and morphine pharmacokinetics in children.
PXR (show NR1I2 Antibodies) is a potential biomarker for predicting outcome and activates MRP3 transcription by directly binding to its promoter resulting in an increased L-OHP efflux capacity, and resistance to L-OHP or platinum drugs in CRC (show CALR Antibodies).
This study highlights the importance of ABCC3 transporters in drug resistance to chemotherapy in the context of breast cancer.
Wnt (show WNT2 Antibodies) signaling regulates ABCC3 expression in colon cancer cells, with the ABCC3 locus being a target of the transcription factors TCF7L2 (show TCF7L2 Antibodies) and beta-catenin (show CTNNB1 Antibodies).
ABCC3 is an important oncoprotein involved in glycolysis and drug resistance
This report is the first to describe liver overexpression of Abcc3 during the cancer initiation, promotion, and progression periods in rat hepatocarcinogenesis model and in human hepatocellular carcinoma
High MRP expression is associated with sorafenib resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma.
ABCC3 rs4148416 polymorphism was significantly associated with poor osteosarcoma response.
Data suggest that hepatic expression of MRP3 is up-regulated and canalicular localization of MRP2 (show ABCC2 Antibodies) is altered in pediatric patients with advanced nonalcoholic steatohepatitis; these alterations may be involved in changes observed in drug metabolism.
data show that this transporter activity is involved in ABCC3-induced senescence, demonstrating that this protein has a complex role in cancer, since its loss of function may promote escape from OIS and tumor formation
Transport of cefadroxil by ABCC3 and ABCC4 (show ABCC4 Antibodies) was saturable with K(m) values of 2.5 +/- 0.7 and 0.25 +/- 0.07 mM, respectively.
role of the bile acid membrane transporter Mrp3 (Abcc3), which is expressed in the liver and gut (show GUSB Antibodies), in the hepatic growth response elicited by bile acids and in liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy
Both Abcc2 (show ABCC2 Antibodies) and Abcc3 significantly influenced the PK properties of MTX (show MTX1 Antibodies).
InsP(3)R2-mediated Ca(2 (show CA2 Antibodies)+) signals enhance organic anion secretion into bile by targeting Mrp2 (show ABCC2 Antibodies) to the canalicular membrane.
Data show that Abcc2 (show ABCC2 Antibodies), Abcc3, and Abcg2 (show ABCG2 Antibodies) together mediate the rapid elimination of MTX (show MTX1 Antibodies) and 7OH-MTX (show MTX1 Antibodies).
These results suggest that Mrp3 plays major roles in the efflux transport of various glucuronide conjugates from the enterocytes to the portal blood in the small intestine together with unknown transporter(s)
induction of Mrp3 plays a significant role in hepatocyte protection during obstructive cholestasis
VDR (show CYP27B1 PLURAL_@161@) has a role in the protection of colon cells from bile acid toxicity through regulation of the Mrp3 expression
Mrp3 does not have a major role in bile salt physiology, but is involved in the transport of glucuronidated compounds, which could include glucuronidated bile salts in humans
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. The specific function of this protein has not yet been determined\; however, this protein may play a role in the transport of biliary and intestinal excretion of organic anions. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described\; however, not all variants have been fully characterized.
