Zebrafish larvae lacking beta1AR (show ADRB1 Antibodies) expression by morpholino knockdown displayed lower heart rates than control fish, whereas larvae deficient in both beta2aAR and beta2bAR expression exhibited significantly higher heart rates than controls.
Data show that inhibitory (Galphai2 (show GNAI2 Antibodies)) and stimulatory (GalphasL) G-protein subunits produced minor atrophic and hypertrophic changes in muscle mass, and Galphai2 (show GNAI2 Antibodies) over-expression prevented AAV:beta2-adrenoceptor (beta2-AR) mediated hypertrophy.
Immune cell-expressed beta2AR plays an essential role in regulating the early inflammatory repair response to acute myocardial injury by facilitating cardiac leukocyte infiltration.
In epileptic seizures mouse model, Pkdl (show PKD2L1 Antibodies) deficiency leads to the loss of beta2AR on neuronal cilia, reduction in cAMP levels in the central nervous system, and reduction in the activation of cAMP response element-binding protein.
Beta2AR overexpression enhances endothelial progenitor cells (EPC (show TCF21 Antibodies)) functions in vitro and enhances the vascular repair abilities of EPCs in vivo via the beta2AR/Akt (show AKT1 Antibodies)/eNOS (show NOS3 Antibodies) pathway.
Housing temperature-induced stress drives therapeutic resistance in murine tumor models through beta2-adrenergic receptor activation.
Quantification of beta adrenergic receptor subtypes in beta-arrestin knockout mouse airways.
our results demonstrate that the beta2-adrenergic receptor is a key regulator of hepatic autophagy, and that the beta-blocker propranolol can independently induce a late block in autophagy.

ADRB2 Gln27Glu and ADRB3 (show ADRB3 Antibodies) Trp64Arg polymorphisms may influence weight loss and body composition after controlled weight loss intervention.
In an Arab ethnic group, the b2AR gene has a role in maternal hypotension after spinal anesthesia. The Gly16 and Glu27 alleles have a higher incidence of arterial hypotension and required a greater amount of vasopressor to treat hypotension compared with homozygous Arg16 and Gln27 carriers.
Our results suggest that IL13 rs20541, IL4 rs2243250, ADRB2 rs1042713, and FCER1B rs569108, four SNPs with significant sole effect on asthma, interact to confer a higher risk for the disease in Chinese Han children.

This gene encodes beta-2-adrenergic receptor which is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. This receptor is directly associated with one of its ultimate effectors, the class C L-type calcium channel Ca(V)1.2. This receptor-channel complex also contains a G protein, an adenylyl cyclase, cAMP-dependent kinase, and the counterbalancing phosphatase, PP2A. The assembly of the signaling complex provides a mechanism that ensures specific and rapid signaling by this G protein-coupled receptor. This gene is intronless. Different polymorphic forms, point mutations, and/or downregulation of this gene are associated with nocturnal asthma, obesity and type 2 diabetes.
