The protein encoded by ARTN is a member of the glial cell line-derived neurotophic factor (GDNF) family of ligands which are a group of ligands within the TGF-beta superfamily of signaling molecules. Additionally we are shipping ARTN Antibodies (113) and ARTN Proteins (26) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 10 out of 26 products:
AhR (show AHR ELISA Kits) activation and ARTN expression were positively correlated in the epidermis of patients with atopic dermatitis.
High ARTN increased xenograft tumor size and metastasis in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Artemin expression promotes invasiveness and neurotrophic function of pancreatic adenocarcinoma cells in vivo and in vitro
mRNA expression of Artemin (Artn) in the tongue mucosa of patients with burning mouth syndrome was significantly higher than that of control subjects.
This is the first report of increased levels of a neurotrophic factor (show NTF3 ELISA Kits) and of a glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor family member in GAD (show GAD1 ELISA Kits) patients.
conclude that ARTN is one mediator of acquired resistance to trastuzumab in HER2 (show ERBB2 ELISA Kits)-positive mammary carcinoma cells
The expression of GFRalpha1 (show GFRA1 ELISA Kits) and/or GFRalpha3 (show GFRA3 ELISA Kits), especially when combined with ARTN expression, may be useful predictors of disease progression and outcome in specific subtypes of mammary carcinoma.
ARTEMIN promotes de novo angiogenesis in ER negative mammary carcinoma through activation of TWIST1 (show TWIST1 ELISA Kits)-VEGF-A (show VEGFA ELISA Kits) signaling.
ARTN promotion of the cancer stem cell-like cell phenotype was mediated by TWIST1 (show TWIST1 ELISA Kits) regulation of BCL-2 (show BCL2 ELISA Kits) expression.
High artemin promotes motility and invasiveness of pancreatic cancer.
RET (show RET ELISA Kits) coupling to ERK (show EPHB2 ELISA Kits) and Akt (show AKT1 ELISA Kits) depends strongly on artemin concentration, and it is highest at the low (~100 pM) artemin levels required for neurite outgrowth.
We found that artemin, the specific GFRalpha3 (show GFRA3 ELISA Kits) ligand that evokes heat hyperalgesia, robustly sensitized cold responses in a TRPM8 (show TRPM8 ELISA Kits)-dependent manner in mice.
artemin lowers the threshold of temperature-dependent itch sensation.
a role for the glial-derived neurotrophic factor ARTN in mood disorders is suggested.
Increase in levels of artemin and GFRalpha3 (show GFRA3 ELISA Kits) regulates C-fiber recruitment after axotomy and regeneration.
Artemin-deficient mice revealed abnormalities in the migration and axonal projection pattern of the sympathetic nervous system. Artemin guides sympathetic fibers in following blood vessels as they project toward their final targets.
The level of artemin in the skin modulates gene expression and response properties of afferents that project to the skin and these changes lead to behavioral sensitivity to both hot and cold stimuli.
These results suggest a potential role for artemin-responsive sensory afferents in mediating sensitivity associated with tissue injury
Data report an autocrine/paracrine role of the artemin-GFRA3 (show GFRA3 ELISA Kits) signaling system in regulating early embryonic development and apoptosis.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the glial cell line-derived neurotophic factor (GDNF) family of ligands which are a group of ligands within the TGF-beta superfamily of signaling molecules. GDNFs are unique in having neurotrophic properties and have potential use for gene therapy in neurodegenerative disease. Artemin has been shown in culture to support the survival of a number of peripheral neuron populations and at least one population of dopaminergic CNS neurons. Its role in the PNS and CNS is further substantiated by its expression pattern in the proximity of these neurons. This protein is a ligand for the RET receptor and uses GFR-alpha 3 as a coreceptor. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
