Mouse (Murine) CD226 Molecule (CD226) interaction partners

  1. our results suggest a limited role for DNAM-1 in solid allograft rejection. Blocking DNAM-1 is not sufficient to prevent allograft rejection and might be relevant only in combination with additional inhibitors of costimulation.

  2. we propose that expression of DNAM-1 on inflammatory monocytes are evolutionally conserved and act as an adhesion molecule (show NCAM1 Antibodies) on blood inflammatory monocytes.

  3. Data indicate that DNAM-1 (CD226) signaling was required to enhance cytotoxicity.

  4. Regulatory T cells derived (show CD4 Antibodies)from Cd226-deficient mice showed similarly reduced inhibitory activity, eventually resulting in an exacerbated disease course of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.

  5. CD226 limits spontaneous multiple myeloma development in Vk*MYC (show MYC Antibodies) transgenic mice. This is mediated both by NK and CD8 (show CD8A Antibodies)+ T cells through perforin (show PRF1 Antibodies) and IFN-gamma (show IFNG Antibodies) pathways. It also is needed for cyclophosphamide and bortezomib treatment effectiveness.

  6. Findings suggest that TIGIT (show TIGIT Antibodies) is a key checkpoint inhibitor of chronic antiviral and antitumor responses through impairing CD226 function when disrupting its homodimerization.

  7. This synapse defect may explain why DNAM-1-deficient mice cannot clear tumors in vivo.

  8. cooperative signaling through DNAM-1 and Ly49H (show KLRA8 Antibodies) are required for NK cell-mediated host defense against MCMV infection

  9. An inactivation gene strategy showed that DNAM-1 exerts profibrotic effects by controlling T cell activation and cytokine release.

  10. These observations establish a firm link between the functions of CD155 (show PVR Antibodies) and CD226 in several T cell differentiation steps.

  1. Age and CMV serostatus influence the expression of NKp30 (show NCR3 Antibodies), NKp46 (show NCR1 Antibodies) and DNAM-1 activating receptors on resting and IL-2 (show IL2 Antibodies) activated natural killer cells.

  2. we propose that expression of DNAM-1 on inflammatory monocytes are evolutionally conserved and act as an adhesion molecule (show NCAM1 Antibodies) on blood inflammatory monocytes.

  3. DNAM-1 ligands CD112 (show PVRL2 Antibodies) and CD155 (show PVR Antibodies) as well as the NKG2D (show KLRK1 Antibodies) ligands MICA (show MICA Antibodies) and MICB (show MICB Antibodies) were expressed on the hiPSC lines

  4. The CD226 gene has been identified as novel association with JIA, and a SNP near CD28 (show CD28 Antibodies) as a suggestive association.

  5. Effector and regulatory CD4 (show CD4 Antibodies)+ memory T cells of healthy individuals carrying the predisposing CD226 variant showed, in comparison to carriers of the protective variant, reduced surface expression of CD226 and impaired induction of CD226 after stimulation.

  6. The present study provides evidence that regulation of the PVR/CD155 (show PVR Antibodies) DNAM-1 ligand expression by nitric oxide may represent an additional immune-mediated mechanism and supports the anti-myeloma activity of nitric oxide donors.

  7. our data reveal the existence of a functional program of NK cell maturation marked by DNAM-1 expression.

  8. upregulated CD226 expression on CD8 (show CD8A Antibodies)(+) T cells reflects disease severity and is involved in Systemic sclerosis pathogenesis via the production of various cytokines, including profibrotic IL-13 (show IL13 Antibodies) and endothelial cell injury

  9. NKG2D (show KLRK1 Antibodies) and DNAM-1 ligand upregulation might sensitize B cells undergoing lytic Epstein-Barr virus replication to NK cell recognition. (Review)

  10. Human regulatory T cells expressing the receptors TIGIT (show TIGIT Antibodies) and CD226 display widely divergent phenotypes in regard to expansion and activation.

CD226 Molecule (CD226) Antigen Profile

Protein Summary

This gene encodes a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of NK cells, platelets, monocytes and a subset of T cells. It is a member of the Ig-superfamily containing 2 Ig-like domains of the V-set. The protein mediates cellular adhesion of platelets and megakaryocytic cells to vascular endothelial cells. The protein also plays a role in megakaryocytic cell maturation.
