CDC16 encodes a component protein of the APC complex, which is composed of eight proteins and functions as a protein ubiquitin ligase. Additionally we are shipping Cell Division Cycle 16 Homolog (S. Cerevisiae) Proteins (6) and Cell Division Cycle 16 Homolog (S. Cerevisiae) Kits (2) and many more products for this protein.

TFDP1 (show TFDP1 Antibodies), CUL4A (show CUL4A Antibodies), and CDC16 are probable targets of an amplification mechanism and therefore may be involved, together or separately, in development and/or progression of some hepatocellular carcinomas
We report gene alterations in several components of this complex in human colon cancer cells, including APC6/CDC16 and APC8/CDC23 (show CDC23 Antibodies) which are known to be key function elements.
This gene encodes a component protein of the APC complex, which is composed of eight proteins and functions as a protein ubiquitin ligase. The APC complex is a cyclin degradation system that governs exit from mitosis. Each component protein of the APC complex is highly conserved among eukaryotic organisms. This protein and two other APC complex proteins, CDC23 and CDC27, contain a tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR), a protein domain that may be involved in protein-protein interaction. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.
