Human CCL4L1 Protein expressed in Escherichia coli (E. coli) - ABIN666795

identified 13 ADCC-activated genes. Six gene expression assays including 8 of the 13 genes (CCL3 (show CCL3 Proteins), CCL4/CCL4L1 (show CCL4 Proteins)/CCL4L2, CD160 (show CD160 Proteins), IFNG (show IFNG Proteins), NR4A3 (show NR4A3 Proteins) and XCL1 (show XCL1 Proteins)/XCL2 (show XCL2 Proteins)) were analyzed in 127 kidney biopsies
CCL4L1 (show CCL4 Proteins) allele frequency is higher in severe psoriasis, whereas CCL4L2 is more frequent in patients with a milder disease.
Neither CCL3L1 (show CCL3L1 Proteins) nor CCL4L1 (show CCL4 Proteins) gene copy number variation showed appreciable impact on susceptibility to or control of HIV-1 infection.
A combined analysis of CCL4L copy number variation and the rs4796195 CCL4L single nucleotide polymorphism demonstrated that the effect of CCL4L copy number in acute rejection is mainly because of the number of copies of the CCL4L1 (show CCL4 Proteins) allelic variant.
This gene is one of several cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. This protein is similar to CCL4 which inhibits HIV entry by binding to the cellular receptor CCR5. The copy number of this gene varies among individuals\; most individuals have 1-5 copies in the diploid genome, although rare individuals do not contain this gene at all. The human genome reference assembly contains two copies of this gene. This record represents the more centromeric gene.
