These data are the first to implicate the association between the interleukin-19 and type 2 diabetes mellitus with vascular complications.
IL-19 and Ang-2 (show ANGPT2 Antibodies) might be involved in angiogenesis of T2 Diabetes mellitus complications.
This study demonstrated that IL-19 and IL-24 (show IL24 Antibodies) are associated with the modulation of T-cell responses in filarial infections.
Data show reduced cytokines IL-10 (show IL10 Antibodies) and IL-19 expression, and enhanced IL-20 (show IL20 Antibodies) and il-1 beta (show IL1B Antibodies) expression in chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) monocytes.
The level of IL-19 in the peripheral blood of allergic rhinitis(AR) patients increased and was related with the clinical severity of AR.
these findings suggest that molecular features at the IL19 locus may modestly alter the establishment of HIV-1 infection.
IL-19 rs2243188 SNP was associated with the susceptibility to lupus nephritis in a Chinese population; but the minor C allele of SNP rs2243188 might be a protective factor for systemic lupus erythematosus
These findings indicate that IL-19 production is diminished in SpA (show FASL Antibodies). Taken together, impaired IL-19 control of the innate immune system might be involved in the pathogenesis of SpA (show FASL Antibodies).
Unstimulated and TLR-activated monocytes expressed significantly lower IL-19 mRNA in active CD patients.Exogenous IL-19 had an anti-inflammatory effect on HC but not in CD.

IL-19 is pivotal in the pathogenesis of breast cancer.
endogenous IL-19 is a constituent of the regulome that controls both processes in vivo
IL-19 drives pathogenic innate immune responses in the colon.
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily. This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes. It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described.
