Potassium channels represent the most complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural standpoints. Additionally we are shipping KCNAB1 Antibodies (103) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 7 out of 7 products:
Genetic variations of KCNAB1 and CRYAA (show CRYAA Proteins) are associated with age-related nuclear cataract.
Protein kinase C inhibition results in a Kv 1.5 and Kv beta 1.3 pharmacology closer to Kv 1.5 channels
These results support KCNAB1 as a susceptibility gene for lateral temporal epilepsy , in agreement with previous studies showing that this gene may alter susceptibility to focal epilepsy.
Double-mutant cycle analysis indicates that R5 of Kvbeta1.3 (show KCNAB2 Proteins) interacts with A501 and T480 of Kv1.5 (show KCNA5 Proteins), residues located deep within the pore of the channel.
Oxidation of NADPH (show FDXR Proteins) on Kvbeta1 inhibits ball-and-chain type inactivation by restraining the chain.
Data, including data from studies in knockout mice, suggest that association/disassociation of subunits Kcnma1 (show KCNMA1 Proteins) and Kcnab1 of the BK channel (show KCNMA1 Proteins) (large-conductance calcium-activated potassium channel (show KCNAB2 Proteins)) is involved in function of coronary artery smooth muscle cells and their dysfunction during ischemia/reperfusion-induced myocardial injury in diabetes.
Kvbeta1 differentially regulates the functional cell surface expression of myocardial I(to,f) and I(K,slow2) channels.
Potassium channels represent the most complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural standpoints. Their diverse functions include regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume. Four sequence-related potassium channel genes - shaker, shaw, shab, and shal - have been identified in Drosophila, and each has been shown to have human homolog(s). This gene encodes a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, shaker-related subfamily. This member includes three distinct isoforms which are encoded by three alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene. These three isoforms are beta subunits, which form heteromultimeric complex with alpha subunits and modulate the activity of the pore-forming alpha subunits.
