Cow (Bovine) Polyclonal SS18L1 Primary Antibody for WB - ABIN2786440
de Bruijn, Geurts van Kessel: Common origin of the human synovial sarcoma associated SS18 and SS18L1 gene loci. in Cytogenetic and genome research 2006
calcium-responsive transactivator and certain other amyotrophic lateral sclerosis-linked proteins share several features implicated in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis pathogenesis
This study demonistrated that CREST mutations inhibited activity-dependent neurite outgrowth in primary neurons, and CREST associated with the ALS (show IGFALS Antibodies) protein FUS (show FUS Antibodies).
A synovial sarcoma of classic morphology contained a novel t(20;X) SS18L1(strong homology to SS18 (show SS18 Antibodies) on Ch20)/SSX1 (show SSX1 Antibodies) fusion transcript in which nucleotide 1216 (exon 10) of SS18L1 was fused in-frame with nucleotide 422 (exon 6) of SSX1 (show SSX1 Antibodies).
SS18 (show SS18 Antibodies) and SS18L1 genes map within co-linear DNA segments that may have evolved through a relatively recent genomic duplication event.
Data suggest that co-activation of CREST and CBP (CREB-binding protein (show CREBBP Antibodies)) enhances signaling between p-Creb (show CREB1 Antibodies)/AP-1 (show JUN Antibodies) and p-HIF-1 (show HIF1A Antibodies)/HRE resulting in up-regulation of Glut3 (glucose transporter type 3 (show SLC2A3 Antibodies)); here, stimulus was cell hypoxia.
Synovial sarcomas occur most frequently in the extremities around large joints. More than 90% of cases have a recurrent and specific chromosomal translocation, t(X\;18)(p11.2\;q11.2), in which the 5-prime end of the SS18 gene (MIM 600192) is fused in-frame to the 3-prime end of the SSX1 (MIM 312820), SSX2 (MIM 300192), or SSX4 (MIM 300326) gene. The SS18L1 gene is homologous to SS18.
