More Proteins for Zinc Finger Protein, X-Linked (ZFX) Interaction Partners

Mouse (Murine) Zinc Finger Protein, X-Linked (ZFX) interaction partners

  1. Zfx is a common cell-intrinsic regulator of diverse Hedgehog (show SHH Proteins)-induced tumors.

  2. Zfx, a transcription factor that controls hematopoietic stem cell self-renewal, controls the initiation and maintenance of acute myeloid leukemia (show BCL11A Proteins).

  3. These studies identify Zfx as a shared transcriptional regulator of embryonic stem cells and hematopoietic stem cells, suggesting a common genetic basis of self-renewal in embryonic and adult SC.

  4. Zfx restrains the stress response and couples antigen receptor signaling to cell expansion and maintenance during B-cell development and peripheral homeostasis

Human Zinc Finger Protein, X-Linked (ZFX) interaction partners

  1. demonstrated that ZFX is aberrantly expressed in multiple human leukemic cells and it modulates the growth and drug response of leukemic cells partially via B4GALT1, which suggests that ZFX is a new regulator of leukemic cells and warrants intensive investigations on this 'stemness' regulator in these deadly diseases

  2. ZFX is a novel oncogene (show RAB1A Proteins) promoting cell proliferation and inducing imatinib resistance via PI3K (show PIK3CA Proteins)/Akt (show AKT1 Proteins) signaling pathway

  3. Zinc finger protein x-linked contributes to patient prognosis, and regulates cell proliferation and apoptosis in human laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

  4. ZFX expression may have a role in poor prognosis of renal cell carcinoma (show MOK Proteins) patients

  5. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with high ZFX expression had lower 5-year overall survival rates, progression-free survival rates, loco-regional relapse-free survival rates and distant metastasis-free survival rates than those with low ZFX expression

  6. Our results provide evidence suggesting that ZFX overexpression is associated with the development of tongue SCC and ZFX knockdown is a potential treatment for tumor suppression

  7. These data demonstrate that ZFX functions as a critical upstream regulator of c-Myc (show MYC Proteins) and plays essential roles in the maintenance of the glioma stem cells phenotype

  8. ZFX is essential for the development and progression of squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue.

  9. our findings for the first time demonstrated that ZFX expression may be associated with the progress of colorectal cancer

  10. Study detected the expression of ZFX in 42 patients with renal cancer and found the expression of ZFX was specifically upregulated in cancer tissues at the mRNA and protein levels.

Cow (Bovine) Zinc Finger Protein, X-Linked (ZFX) interaction partners

  1. ZFX transcripts were noted in all pre-compaction stage embryos and in female and male blastocysts; the expression of ZFX was significantly higher in female than in male blastocysts

ZFX Protein Profile

Protein Summary

This gene on the X chromosome is structurally similar to a related gene on the Y chromosome. It encodes a member of the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. The full-length protein contains an acidic transcriptional activation domain (AD), a nuclear localization sequence (NLS) and a DNA binding domain (DBD) consisting of 13 C2H2-type zinc fingers. Studies in mouse embryonic and adult hematopoietic stem cells showed that this gene was required as a transcriptional regulator for self-renewal of both stem cell types, but it was dispensable for growth and differentiation of their progeny. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined.
