More Proteins for phosphorylase, Glycogen, Brain (GPBB) Interaction Partners

Human phosphorylase, Glycogen, Brain (GPBB) interaction partners

  1. GPBB is a valuable biological marker to predict the prognosis in patient with acute coronary syndrome.

  2. H-FABP (show FABP3 Proteins) and GPBB can contribute to early acute myocardial infarction diagnosis and can distinguish acute myocardial infarction from acute coronary syndrome

  3. Brain-type glycogen (show GYS1 Proteins) phosphorylase is expressed in non-small-cell lung carcinoma, particularly adenocarcinomas, and is an independent poor prognostic factor.

phosphorylase, Glycogen, Brain (GPBB) Protein Profile

Protein Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a glycogen phosphorylase found predominantly in the brain. The encoded protein forms homodimers which can associate into homotetramers, the enzymatically active form of glycogen phosphorylase. The activity of this enzyme is positively regulated by AMP and negatively regulated by ATP, ADP, and glucose-6-phosphate. This enzyme catalyzes the rate-determining step in glycogen degradation.
