Background
DAD1 was discovered as a negative regulator of programmed cell death, and has since been identified as a subunit of the mammalian oligosaccharyltransferase complex (OCT). DAD1 is required for the function and structural integrity of OCT.Synonyms: DAD-1, OST2, defender against cell death 1, dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide-protein glycosyltransferase subunit DAD1, oligosaccharyl transferase subunit DAD1
