Alternative Name CD9 (CD9 Antibody Abstract)
Background CD9 is a 24 kDa member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily (TM4-SF) of cell surface receptors. It is expressed strongly on platelets, lymphoid progenitor cells, activated lymphocytes and endothelia, and, weakly, on eosinophils, granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages. CD9 functions as an adhesion molecule where it mediates platelet aggregation and activation.
Research Area Embryogenesis, Embryonic stem cells, Reproduction, CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Application Notes Working Dilution:
FACS: 10 µL/10^6 cells
Representative data are included in this product insert.

Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

platelet inhibition and aggregation studies

Restrictions For Research Use only
Buffer Product is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS / NaN3.
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Protect conjugated products from light.
Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.
Storage 4 °C
