  • Application Notes
Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: used at 25g/mLELISA: 1/1K - 1/2K. Western Blot: used at 1-2g/mLFunctional Assays: The neutralisation dose (ND50) of this batch was determined to beapproximately 0.3-0.5 μg/mL in the presence of 0.5 ng/mL of recombinant human GM-CSF. ND50 may vary depending on conditions. ND50 is defined as the concentration of Abrequired to yield half maximal inhibition of cytokine activity on a responsive cell line, whenthat cytokine is present at a concentration just high enough to elicit a maximum response.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Background
The cytokine GM-CSF stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes. Used in myeloid reconstitution following bone marrow transplant, bone marrow transplant engraftment failure or delay, mobilization and following transplantation of autologous peripheral blood progenitor cells, and following induction chemotherapy in older adults with acute myelogenous leukemia.Synonyms: CSF2, Colony stimulating factor 2, GMCSF, Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, Molgramostin, Sargramostim
