Precaution of Use
WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.

Target
STEAP3
(STEAP Family Member 3, Metalloreductase (STEAP3))
The six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 3 (STEAP3) is a member of a family of metalloreductases identified as cell-surface antigens in prostate tissue.Similar to two other members of the STEAP family (STEAP 2 and STEAP4), STEAP3 promotes both iron and copper reduction.STEAP3 is highly expressed in hematopoietic tissues and colocalizes with the transferrin endosome.Overexpression of STEAP3 stimulates iron reduction, mice lacking STEAP3 are deficient in erythroid ferrireductase activity, suggesting that STEAP3 is an endosomal ferrireductase required for transferrin-dependent iron uptake in erythroid cells. Synonyms: Six transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 3, dudulin-2
