    AA 593-606

    Specificity

Recognizes AIF, Mr 57kD. Another non-specific protein was also detected at Mr 120kD. Species cross-reactivity: Mouse. Predicted for human and rat based on sequence homology.

    Predicted Reactivity

Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Bovine, Dog, Bat, Cat, Horse, Rabbit, Pig (100%) Opossum, Xenopus (92%) Turkey, Chicken, Stickleback, Pufferfish, Zebrafish (83%).

    Purification

    Protein A purified

    Immunogen

KLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 593-606 of human Apoptosis Inducing Factor, AIF (C-KDGEQHEDLNEV-AK), containing a N-terminal cysteine. The immunizing sequence is identical in mouse and rat. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Bovine, Dog, Bat, Cat, Horse, Rabbit, Pig (100%), Opossum, Xenopus (92%), Turkey, Chicken, Stickleback, Pufferfish, Zebrafish (83%).

Type of Immunogen: Synthetic peptide - KLH conjugated

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

    Approved: WB (1 μg/mL)

Usage: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot Analysis: 1 μg/mL detects AIF from a mouse liver preparation. Mouse liver protein preparation was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with AIF (1 μg/mL). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
