Specificity: Peptide sequences from other species are not yet available. No significant sequence homology of is seen with other WNKs or proteins. Antibody reactivity in various species is not established. The control peptide, because of its low MW (<3kD), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking experiments (use 5-10 μg control peptide per 1 μg of aff pure IgG or 1 μL antiserum) to confirm antibody specificity.

Immunogen: A 13-aa peptide sequence, mapping at the middle (around ~650-aa) region of human WNK-4 (1) synthesized, coupled to KLH.

Usage: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 for neat serum and 1-10 μg/mL for affinity pure using ECL. WNK4 is ~135/155kD in kidney. ELISA: 1:10000-1:100000 using 50-100 ng of control peptide/well.
