Background: LNK is an SH2-containing adaptor protein, which regulates cytokine receptor-mediated and growth factor pathways, and plays an essential role in B cell lymphopoiesis. LNK mRNA is preferentially expressed in lymph node and spleen lymphocytes and the expression of LNK in vascular endothelial cells (ECs), increases in response to TNFalpha.
