Description
ErbB3, a member of the EGF receptor family, binds and is activated by neuregulins andNTAK. It potentially forms a heterodimer with each of the other ERBB receptors. This proteinis predominantly expressed in epithelial tissues and brain. The cytoplasmic part of thereceptor may interact with the SH2 or SH3 domains of many signal-transducing proteins. Ligand-binding may increase phosphorylation on tyrosine residues and promote itsassociation with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase ErbB3 is overexpressedin a subset of human mammary tumors.
Specificity
This antibody reacts to ErbB3. Species: Human, Mouse. Others not tested.
Application Notes
ELISA: 1/1,000. Western blotting: 1/100 - 1/500. Immunohistochemistry: 1/50 - 1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
