Immunogen
Peptide with sequence from the C-Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_000245.2. Genename: MTR
Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 32000. Western blot: 1-3 μg/mL. Approx 150 kDa band seen in HeLa and Jurkat cell lysates. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
MTR encodes the enzyme 5-methyltetrahydrofolate-homocysteine methyltransferase. This enzyme, also known as cobalamin-dependent methionine synthase, catalyzes the final step in methionine biosynthesis. Mutations in MTR have been identified as the underlying cause of methylcobalamin deficiency complementation group G.Synonyms: 5-methyltetrahydrofolate--homocysteine methyltransferase, Vitamin-B12 dependent methionine synthase
