Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to internal sequence of Human NRAS (NP_002515.1). Genename: NRAS
Specificity This antibody detects NRAS.
Cross-Reactivity (Details) Species reactivity (expected):Mouse, Rat and Canine (Dog).
Species reactivity (tested):Human.
Purification Ammonium Sulphate Precipitation followed by antigen Affinity Chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name NRAS (NRAS Antibody Abstract)
Background NRAS is an oncogene encoding a membrane protein that shuttles between the Golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane. Ras proteins bind GDP/GTP and possess intrinsic GTPase activity.Synonyms: ALPS4, GTPase NRas, HRAS1, N-Ras, Transforming protein N-Ras, neuroblastoma RAS viral (v-ras) oncogene homolog
Molecular Weight 21 kDa (NP_002515.1).
Gene ID 4893, 9606
UniProt P01111
Research Area Cancer
Pathways p53 Signaling, MAPK Signaling, RTK Signaling, Fc-epsilon Receptor Signaling Pathway, EGFR Signaling Pathway
Application Notes Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1/32000. Western Blot: 0.01-0.03 μg/mL. Approx.21 kDa band observed in Human lysates of cell lineA431. In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing NRAS bands of approx.21 kDa and21 kDa are observed. These bands are not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. Immunohistochemistry: 2-3 μg/mL. In paraffin embedded Human Small Intestine shows stainingof cytoplasm and membrane of enterocytes.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
