Description
O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) transferase (OGT) catalyzes the addition of asingle N-acetylglucosamine in O-glycosidic linkage to serine or threonine residues. Sinceboth phosphorylation and glycosylation compete for similar serine or threonine residues, the two processes may compete for sites, or they may alter the substrate specificity ofnearby sites by steric or electrostatic effects. The protein contains nine tetratricopeptiderepeats and a putative bipartite nuclear localization signal.

Specificity
This antibody reacts to OGT. Species: Human, Mouse. Others not tested.

Application Notes
ELISA: 1/1,000. Western blotting: 1/50 - 1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
