Immunogen This MED6 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 217-246 AA from the C-terminal region of human MED6.
Clone RB20184
Isotype Ig
Specificity This MED6 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 214-246 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human MED6.
Purification This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Alternative Name MED6
Background Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors.
