    Background
Mouse CD160 is expressed on NK, NKT and TCRγδ T cells as well as intestinal intraepithelial T lymphocytes. CD160 is also expressed on activated CD8+ cells and these cells release soluble CD160. CD160 has been shown to bind a wide range of classical and non classical MHC class I (including CD1d) and regulate NK cell activity /cytokine production. The expression profiles of CD160 in the mouse and human are essentially the same.Synonyms: BY55, Natural killer cell receptor BY55
