Western Blotting (WB), ELISA, Immunofluorescence (IF)
    Specificity
Human LTF / Lactoferrin. The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to lactoferrin as tested in indirect binding immunoblotting and indirect immunoperoxidase staining. Cross-reactivity The antiserum does not react with any other component of the human milk or plasma protein as tested. This antiserum has not been tested for cross-reactivity with other species.

  • Application Notes
    Approved: ELISA, IF, WB

Usage: The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested. This product is intended for use to identify the presence of lactoferrin in human milk, other body fluids, cell and tissue substrates and to determine its concentration in techniques as ELISA, indirect immunoperoxidase and indirect immunofluorescence staining and immunoblotting. As a second step an avidin or streptavidin conjugate of the user's choice has to be used. The optimum working dilution is an assay-related characteristic and should always be determined by titration. For histochemical use optimum dilutions are mostly from 1:20 upwards, in ELISA from 1:25 upwards, in Western blotting from 1:50 upwards. These data should be interpreted as general recommendations only.
