Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p))
    Specificity
Specific for the calculated ~590kD MUC5B protein. On Western Blots, recognizes a band significantly higher than 250kD. Reactivity has been confirmed with deglycosylated and secreted media from primary human tracheobranchial epithelial culture and a deglycosylated human saliva sample. Immunohistochemical assays were also performed using trachea samples from both normal and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.
    Purification
    Protein A purified
    Immunogen
Synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminal region of the human MUC5B protein.

    Type of Immunogen: Synthetic peptide
    Clone
    5B19-2E
    Isotype
    IgG1 kappa
