This is how other pik3c2a SCR map but I think more specific mapping may be appropriate (Class II Phosphatidylinositol 3-Kinases).
This study adds to this divergence by indicating a nonredundant role for PI3KC2alpha, with no role for PI3KC2beta, in regulating platelet OCS structure and overall platelet-dependent thrombus stability.
PI3KC2a knockdown results in rerouting of insulin (show INS Antibodies) signaling and pancreatic beta cell proliferation.
Heterozygous PI3K-C2-alpha inactivation in platelets led to reduction in phosphatidylinositol 3-monophosphate and a mislocalization of several membrane skeleton proteins known to control the interactions between the plasma membrane and cytoskeleton.
Data (including data from knockout mice) suggest that Pi3kc2a participates in tumor angiogenesis. [REVIEW]
Our studies indicate that while Vps34 (show PIK3C3 Antibodies) is the main PI3P source during autophagy, class II PI3Ks also significantly contribute to PI3P generation and regulate AP biogenesis.
PI3K-C2alpha has a crucial role in vascular formation and barrier integrity
PI3KC2alpha-deficient mice developed chronic renal failure and exhibited a range of kidney lesions, including glomerular crescent (show SFRP5 Antibodies) formation and renal tubule defects in early disease, which progressed to diffuse mesangial sclerosis.
phosphoinositide 3-kinase C2alpha has a role in insulin (show INS Antibodies) signaling
Results present evidence that PI3K-C2alpha is critical in the proper maturation of endosomes, and for coordinating the use of endosomes as an additional membrane source during autophagy.
miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-518a-5p was downregulated in imatinib-resistant gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), and the expression of miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-518a-5p was confirmed with good concordance between real-time PCR and miRNA microarray results. Luciferase reporter assays indicated that miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-518a-5p bound to the PIK3C2A 3'UTR (show UTS2R Antibodies).
Therefore, PI3K-C2A is a factor important for human cytomegalovirus replication and has a role in the production of human cytomegalovirus virions.
MiR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-206 regulates endothelial progenitor cell activities by targeting PIK3C2alpha expression. The role of PIK3C2alpha in endothelial progenitor cell function in coronary artery disease
PI3KC2alpha has a role in regulating shear-dependent platelet adhesion via regulation of membrane structure, rather than acute signalling
a model of S. flexneri dissemination is proposed in which the formation of vacuole-like protrusions is mediated by the PIK3C2A-dependent production of the signaling lipid phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate in the protrusion membrane
Data (including data from knockout mice) suggest that PI3KC2a participates in tumor angiogenesis. [REVIEW]
These observations indicate that PI3K-C2alpha plays the pivotal role in TGFbeta (show TGFB1 Antibodies) receptor endocytosis and thereby Smad2 (show SMAD2 Antibodies)/3 signaling, participating in angiogenic actions of TGFbeta (show TGFB1 Antibodies).
Class II enzyme PI3K-C2beta (show PIK3C2B Antibodies) and the class IB isozyme p110gamma (show PIK3CG Antibodies) mainly regulate the S1P (show MBTPS1 Antibodies)- and high density lipoprotein (HDL (show HSD11B1 Antibodies))-dependent endothelial cell (EC) migration and PI3K-C2alpha primarily controls EC survival
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) family. PI3-kinases play roles in signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation, oncogenic transformation, cell survival, cell migration, and intracellular protein trafficking. This protein contains a lipid kinase catalytic domain as well as a C-terminal C2 domain, a characteristic of class II PI3-kinases. C2 domains act as calcium-dependent phospholipid binding motifs that mediate translocation of proteins to membranes, and may also mediate protein-protein interactions. The PI3-kinase activity of this protein is not sensitive to nanomolar levels of the inhibitor wortmanin. This protein was shown to be able to be activated by insulin and may be involved in integrin-dependent signaling.
