- Background
- PNPO, also known as pyridoxine-5'-phosphate oxidase, is the rate-limiting enzyme in vitamin B6 synthesis. Vitamin B6, or pyridoxal 5-prime-phosphate (PLP), is critical for normal cellular function, and some cancer cells have notable differences in vitamin B6 metabolism compared to their normal counterparts. Recombinant human PNPO protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Synonyms: Pyridoxine-5'-phosphate oxidase , FLJ10535, PDXPO.
