- Background
- AUH, also known as mitochondrial methylglutaconyl-CoA hydratase, is involved in the amino acid degradation pathway by catalyzing the conversion of 3-methylglutaconyl-CoA to 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA and water. It has been found to have very low enoyl-CoA hydratase activity. Recombinant human AUH protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Synonyms: Methylglutaconyl-CoA hydratase mitochondrial, 3 methylglutaconyl CoA hydratase, AU binding protein/enoyl CoA hydratase, AU RNA binding protein/enoyl Coenzyme A hydratase , AU specific RNA binding enoyl CoA hydratase, Methylglutaconyl CoA hydratase ,Methylglutaconyl CoA hydratase mitochondrial ,MGA Type I.
