This report is the first study characterizing the specific functions of NRP1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits)-Delta7, a glycosaminoglycan-defective neuropilin-1 splice variant that displays anti-tumorigenic properties in vitro and in vivo.
this study shows that NRP1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits) can act as a co-receptor for PDGF-D (show PDGFD ELISA Kits)-PDGFRbeta signaling and is possibly implicated in intercellular communication in the vascular wall
This review provides a general overview of current knowledge of the signalling pathways that are modulated by NRP1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits), with particular focus on neuronal and vascular roles in the brain and retina.
This study suggests that NRP1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits) expression and LVD are independent factors that are likely to predict the risk of LN metastasis in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC (show CYP11A1 ELISA Kits))of the tongue, whereas the expression of VEGFC (show VEGFC ELISA Kits), VEGFR3 (show FLT4 ELISA Kits), CCR7 (show CCR7 ELISA Kits), and SEMA3E (show SEMA3E ELISA Kits) are nonindependent predictive factors
Curcumin-loaded nanoliposomes linked to homing peptides for integrin targeting and neuropilin-1-mediated internalization reduced viability of breast cancer cells.
Upregulated expression of NRP1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits) is associated with glioma.
Studies suggest that the activation of NRP-1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits) by PlGF (show PGF ELISA Kits) directly contributes to tumour aggressiveness and to melanoma escape from anti-VEGF-A (show VEGFA ELISA Kits) therapies.
REVIEW: Nrp1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits) functions in the vasculature is critical for the development of targeted therapeutics for cancer and vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and retinopathies.
High Expression of Neuropilin-1 Associates with Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
Increased NRP-1 (show NELL1 ELISA Kits) expression is associated with metastatic endometrial and lung cancers.
IL-10 (show IL10 ELISA Kits) abrogation efficiently induces regulatory T cell (Treg) formation but dampens tumoral neuropilin-1 (Nrp-1) Treg signaling, which simultaneously augments Th1 (show HAND1 ELISA Kits) and Th17 immunity.
that microglial expression of Neuropilin-1 (Nrp1) is required for tuftsin-driven amelioration of EAE symptoms
Sepsis per se markedly promoted the expression of Nrp-1 of CD4 (show CD4 ELISA Kits)(+)CD25 (show IL2RA ELISA Kits)(+)Tregs. Foxp-3 (show FOXP3 ELISA Kits)/CTLA-4 (show CTLA4 ELISA Kits)/TGF-beta (show TGFB1 ELISA Kits)(m+) of Nrp-1(high)Tregs were upregulated by septic challenge.
Both placental NRP1 and VEGF were expressed at lower levels in women with pre-eclampsia and homocysteine-treated mice, which may contribute to endothelial damage.
suppression of beta3-integrin (show ITGB3 ELISA Kits) in mice leads to the activation of a neuropilin-1 (NRP1)-dependent cell migration pathway in endothelial cells via a mechanism that depends on NRP1's mobilisation away from mature focal adhesions following VEGF (show VEGFA ELISA Kits)-stimulation
The results show that high vs. low expression of Nrp-1 or Helios (show ZNFN1A2 ELISA Kits) does not unequivocally identify Treg clones of thymic or peripheral origin.
Nrp1 in endothelial cells suppresses TGFbeta (show TGFB1 ELISA Kits) activation and signaling by forming intercellular protein complexes with beta8 integrin.
In vascular sprouting, neuropilin-1 suppresses the stalk-cell phenotype by limiting Smad2 (show SMAD2 ELISA Kits)/3 activation through Alk1 (show ACVRL1 ELISA Kits) and Alk5 (show TGFBR1 ELISA Kits). Notch (show NOTCH1 ELISA Kits) downregulates Nrp1, thus relieving the inhibition of Alk1 (show ACVRL1 ELISA Kits) and Alk5 (show TGFBR1 ELISA Kits), thereby driving stalk-cell behaviour.
NRP1 enables ECM (show MMRN1 ELISA Kits)-induced filopodia formation for tip cell function during sprouting angiogenesis.
demonstrate that in mice on the C57Bl/6 background EMX1 plays an essential role in the midline crossing of an axonal subpopulation of the corpus callosum derived from the anterior cingulate cortex. In the absence of EMX1, cingulate axons display reduced expression of the axon guidance receptor NRP1 and form aberrant axonal bundles within the rostral corpus callosum.
Neuropilin-1 and its co-receptor plexinA1 are necessary to bias the extension of the dendrites of retinal ganglion cells to the apical side of the cell, and ectopically expressed class III semaphorins (Sema3s) disrupt this process.
binding of Neuropilin-1 to VEGFR-2 (show KDR ELISA Kits) requires the PDZ (show INADL ELISA Kits)-binding domain of neuropilin-1
Neuropilin-1 is essential for enhanced VEGF(165)-mediated vasodilatation in collateral-dependent coronary arterioles of exercise-trained pigs.
This gene encodes one of two neuropilins, which contain specific protein domains which allow them to participate in several different types of signaling pathways that control cell migration. Neuropilins contain a large N-terminal extracellular domain, made up of complement-binding, coagulation factor V/VIII, and meprin domains. These proteins also contains a short membrane-spanning domain and a small cytoplasmic domain. Neuropilins bind many ligands and various types of co-receptors\; they affect cell survival, migration, and attraction. Some of the ligands and co-receptors bound by neuropilins are vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and semaphorin family members. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described for this gene.
