Mouse (Murine) Filaggrin (FLG) interaction partners

  1. The study supports a pro-adipogenic role for betaKlotho (show KLB Proteins) in skeletal muscle fibro/adipogenesis and calls for further research on involvement of the FGF-FGFR (show FGFR2 Proteins)-betaKlotho (show KLB Proteins) axis in the fibro/adipogenic infiltration associated with functional deterioration of skeletal muscle in aging and muscular dystrophy.

  2. These new findings reveal that the FGF21-betaKlotho-FGFR1 signaling axis plays roles in maintaining phospholipid homeostasis and the dynamic functions of the lipid droplet, whereas protecting against ER stress, and suggest a potential link of phospholipid biosynthesis, lipid droplet dynamics, ER stress, and energy homeostasis in adipose tissue coordinated by this signaling axis.

  3. Data suggest that Fgf1 (show FGF1 Proteins)-mediated signaling represents an important signaling cascade related to adipogenesis and visceral adiposity; expression of Fgf1 (fibroblast growth factor 1 (show FGF1 Proteins)) and Fgfr1 (fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (show FGFR1 Proteins)) is up-regulated in adipose tissue of obese mice (both obese mice due to high-fat diet and obese mice due to genetic deletion of leptin (show LEP Proteins)).

  4. FGFR1OP2 (show FGFR1OP2 Proteins)-FGFR1 (show FGFR1 Proteins) fusion in hematopoietic stem cells induced myeloid leukemia (show BCL11A Proteins) and T-cell lymphoma in a mouse model.

  5. MiR (show MLXIP Proteins)-214 was up-regulated in mesenchymal stem cells of osteoporotic mice and down-regulated during osteoblast differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells. FGFR1 (show FGFR1 Proteins) is a direct target of miR (show MLXIP Proteins)-214.

  6. demonstrated that Id1 (show ID1 Proteins) and E2-2 (show TCF4 Proteins) are critical regulators of EPCs function in vitro. Id1 (show ID1 Proteins) interacts with E2-2 (show TCF4 Proteins) and relieves the E2-2 (show TCF4 Proteins)-mediated repression of FGFR1 (show FGFR1 Proteins) and VEGFR2 (show KDR Proteins) expression to modulate EPCs functions

  7. FGF receptor 1-mediated anosmin-1 (show KAL1 Proteins) activity plays a crucial role in the continuous remodelling of the adult olfactory bulb.

  8. Fgfr1 (show FGFR1 Proteins) and Fgfr2 (show FGFR2 Proteins) in the palatal and mandibular mesenchyme have roles in regulating shelf medial wall protrusion and growth of the mandible to coordinate the craniofacial tissue movements that are required for palatal shelf elevation

  9. Data suggest that signal transduction via Fgf23 (show FGF23 Proteins)/Fgfr1 (show FGFR1 Proteins) and calcitriol/calcitriol receptor have opposite roles in innate immunity; Fgf23 (show FGF23 Proteins) suppresses arginase-1 (show ARG1 Proteins) expression in macrophages; calcitriol stimulates arginase-1 (show ARG1 Proteins) expression in macrophages.

  10. FGFR1 (show FGFR1 Proteins) has dual functions to directly regulate proximal and distal tubule phosphate and calcium reabsorption, indicating a physiological role of FGFR1 (show FGFR1 Proteins) signaling in both phosphate and calcium homeostasis.

Human Filaggrin (FLG) interaction partners

  1. Variations in FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) and TSLP (show TSLP Proteins) genotype were associated with differences in self-reported skin clearance, TCI (show LXN Proteins) usage, and steroid usage.

  2. We show that subjects with FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins)-null mutations have more mature Langerhans cells in nonlesional skin irrespective of whether they have AD.

  3. we have proposed that this latitude-dependent gradient of FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) mutations across Europe, Asia and Africa could have provided an evolutionary advantage for heterozygous FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) mutation carriers, residing at northern latitudes, depletion of the FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) downstream product, trans-urocanic acid, would facilitate the intracutaneous synthesis of vitamin D3 by allowing increased transcutaneous absorption of UVB photons

  4. The results of the present study demonstrate that filaggrin knockdown inhibits NHEK migration, adhesion and proliferation, promotes apoptosis and disturbs cell cycle progression.

  5. FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) rs2065955 polymorphism was significantly related to gastric carcinoma.

  6. Four FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) null mutations (3321delA, K4022X, S3296X, and S2889X) were identified in Korean patients with Atopic Dermatitis

  7. IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins), which is a representative Th2 cytokine, affect as a crucial factor of skin barrier dysfunction by reducing FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) expression in human keratinocytes.

  8. The authors data reveals that the CNV of FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) is associated with AD development in Koreans.

  9. Filaggrin Gene Mutation c.3321delA is Associated with Dry Phenotypes of Atopic Dermatitis in the Chinese Han Population

  10. The present study examined the possible relationship between SNPs of FLG (show FGFR1 Proteins) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU) for the first time, and demonstrated that none of five investigated SNPs (rs2485518, rs3126065, rs2786680, rs3814300, and rs3814299) are correlated with CIU in an Iranian population.

Filaggrin (FLG) Protein Profile

Protein Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is an intermediate filament-associated protein that aggregates keratin intermediate filaments in mammalian epidermis. It is initially synthesized as a polyprotein precursor, profilaggrin (consisting of multiple filaggrin units of 324 aa each), which is localized in keratohyalin granules, and is subsequently proteolytically processed into individual functional filaggrin molecules. Mutations in this gene are associated with ichthyosis vulgaris.
