Flow Cytometry (FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))

Clone

B1G6
  • Specificity

Human beta 2-Microglobulin (MW 12 kDa). Recognizes the HLA-beta 2-Microglobulin complex, free or associated with the membrane. Does not react with other species. The exact epitope for the antibody has not been mapped.

    Purification

    Protein A Chromatography

    Immunogen

    Purified human Beta 2-Microglobulin

    Isotype

    IgG2a
  • Application Notes

Purification of the HLA antigens associated with beta 2-Microglobulin. Fluorescence Microscopy or Flow Cytometry: 2 μg/5x10e5 cells/test. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections or Cell Smears): 1/25-1/50.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Restrictions

    For Research Use only
  • Reconstitution

Restore with 1.0 mL distilled water

    Concentration

    0.2 mg/mL (prior to lyophilization)

    Buffer

    PBS, None, 1 mg/mL BSA

    Handling Advice

    Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

    Storage

    4 °C/-20 °C

    Storage Comment

Prior to reconstitution store at 2-8 °C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20 °C for longer. Following reconstitution store the antibody at -20 °C.
  • Target

    beta-2 Microglobulin (B2M) (beta-2-Microglobulin (B2M))

    Alternative Name

    beta-2-Microglobulin

    Background

Beta-2 Microglobulin non-covalently associates with the 44 kDa alpha chain to form the HLA Class I antigen complex. Human beta 2 Microglobulin associated with HLA Class I antigens are expressed on many types of cells including lymphocytes, thymocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, platelets, endothelial cells, and epithelial cells. It is absent on erythrocytes.Synonyms: B2M, Beta 2 microglobulin, Beta-2 microglobulin
