- Application Notes
-
Immunocytochemical: this product has been found to stain PLP fixed rat brain sectionsknown to express the muscarinic M3 receptor using ABC techniques at a dilution of1: 2,500. Western immunoblotting: successful by using whole rat brain homogenerate at a dilutionof 1: 500.
Other applications not tested.

- Background
- This receptor mediates various cellular responses, including inhibition of adenylate cyclase, breakdown of phosphoinositides and modulation of potassium channels through the action of G proteins. Expression of this receptor has been reported in brain, eye, and heart. ESTs have been isolated from brain, colon, fetus, lung, and prostate libraries.Synonyms: CHRM3
