Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))
  • Specificity

The antiserum stains specifically Human hair keratin K33 expressed starting from the middle hair cortex. Because of high sequence homology both Keratin isoforms K33a (formerly also designated keratin hHa3-I) and K33b (formerly designated keratin hHa3-II) are detected.

    Purification

    Liquid serum

    Immunogen

Synthetic peptide of human hair (trichocytic) keratin hHa3 (EKP IGS CVT NPC GPR SR), coupled to KLH.
  • Application Notes

Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: 1/200, 1h at RT, preincubate fixed sections with0.1 Triton X-100 (in PBS) for 1 - 5 min prior to first antibody incubation step. Immunoblotting: 1 : 2,000, ECL method.
    Other applications not tested.
