ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL of thisantibody will detect at least 2000 pg/mL of recombinant Human NT-4 when used withBiotin conjugated anti-Human NT-4 antibody (cat. PP1059B) as the detection antibody at aconcentration of approximately 0.5-1.0 μg/mL.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Alternative Name

    Neurotrophin 4 / NTF4

    Background

Neurotrophin 4 (NT4, synonymous with NT5) belongs to the NGF beta family and is a survival factor for peripheral sensory sympathetic neurons. The expression of this gene is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. NT4 levels are highest in the prostate, with lower levels in thymus, placenta, and skeletal muscle. NT4 is also expressed in embryonic and adult tissues.Synonyms: NT-4, NT-5, NTF5, Neurotrophin 5, Neurotrophin-4, Neurotrophin-5, Neutrophic factor 4
