Western Blotting (WB), Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA)
  • Specificity

This antibody reacts with Murine B71

    Purification

    Affinity chromatography.

    Immunogen

    Highly pure (>98%) recombinant mB-71
  • Application Notes

Neutralization. ELISA: To detect mB-71 by direct ELISA (using 100 l/well antibody solution) aconcentration of at least 0.5 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinitypurified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detectionof 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant mB-71. Western Blot: To detect mB-71 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant mB-71 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing ornon-reducing conditions.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

  • Target

    CD80

    Alternative Name

    CD80

    Background

CD80 is a member of the Ig superfamily and serves as the ligand for two T cell molecules, CD28 and CTLA4. Interactions between CD28 and CD80 on activated B cells result in enhanced T cell activation. CD80 is rapidly induced on the surface of in vitro activated B cells, Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) transformed B cell lines, Burkitts lymphoma cell lines, freshly isolated follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes. It is also expressed at high levels in dendritic cells. It reacts weakly with a small proportion of non activated normal B cells and with HTLV1 infected T cells. CD80 does not react with peripheral monocytes, resting and activated normal T cells, T cell lines and T cell clones, nor with myelomonocytic cell lines.Synonyms: Activation B7-1 antigen, B7-1, B7.1, BB1, CD28LG, CD28LG1, CTLA-4 counter-receptor B7.1, LAB7, T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD80
