Application
-
-
Specificity
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against purified and partially purified Catalase [Bovine Liver]. Cross reactivity against Catalase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
-
Purification
- Prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination.
-

Application Notes
-
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation,Conjugation and most immunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Catalase [Bovineliver] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purifiedanti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Goat) (R1364HRP) and ABTS(2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes atroom temperature. A working dilution of 1: 26,000 to 1: 142,000 of the reconstitutionconcentration is suggested for this product.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. -

Background
- Catalase is the classical marker for peroxisomes and is the most abundant protein within peroxisomes. It is found in almost all aerobically respiring organisms and serves to protect cells from the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide.Synonyms: CAT, Peroxisome Marker
