The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-Glucose Oxidase antibody is suitable to detect Glucose Oxidase in samples from Aspergillus. It has been validated for WB, IP and EIA.
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and mostimmunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Glucose Oxidase[Aspergillus niger] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated AffinityPurified anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Rabbit) and ABTS(2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes atroom temperature. A working dilution of 1: 4,000 to 1: 16,000 of the reconstitutionconcentration is suggested for this product. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Background
Glucose Oxidase is widely used for the determination of glucose in body fluids and in removing residual glucose or oxygen from foods and beverages. Glucose Oxidase producing moulds such as Aspergillus and Penicillium species are used for the biological production of gluconic acid. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: Beta D glucose + O2 = D glucono 1,5 lactone + H2O2.Synonyms: Beta-D-glucose:oxygen 1-oxido-reductase, Glucose oxyhydrase, gox
