Application Notes
-
ELISA: In a Sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL ofthis antibody will detect at least 1000 pg/mL of recombinant Human MIP3-alpha when usedwith Biotin anti-Human MIP3 alpha antibody (cat. PP1052B) as the detection antibody at aconcentration of approximately 1.0-2.0 μg/mL. Western Blot. To detect Human MIP3-alpha by Western Blot analysis this antibody can beused at a concentration of 0.20-0.40 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatiblesecondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Human MIP3-alpha is 0.25-0.50 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.
Other applications not tested.

Background
- Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha is a chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and, slightly, neutrophils, but not monocytes. It inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays. It may be involved in formation and function of the mucosal lymphoid tissues by attracting lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards epithelial cells. It binds to CCR6.Synonyms: Beta chemokine exodus-1, C-C motif chemokine 20, CC chemokine LARC, CCL20, DC marker, Dendritic Cell Marker, Exodus-1, LARC, Liver and activation-regulated chemokine, MIP-3 alpha, MIP3A, Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha, SCYA20, Small-inducible cytokine A20
