Specificity
- Recognizes human CD69, otherwise known as AIM/CLEC2C, a cell surface marker and C-type lectin, which is expressed during the early activation of B and T cells, and also by natural killer (NK) cells, platelets, neutrophils, eosinophils, and epidermal Langerhans cells. CD69 is closely related to the LY49 NK cell activation marker, and is inducible by mitogens, antigens or activators of PKC on the surface of B and T cells, and also by IL-2/p75 IL-2R interaction on the surface of NK cells.
