Specificity: Specific for Connexin 50. It does not cross-react with other Connexin proteins. Anti-Connexin 50 recognizes an epitope in the cytoplasmic (carboxy) tail located between residues 290-440. Reacts with Connexin 50 from sheep, human, mouse, rat and probably other species. Tested in a wide variety of tissues including lens, cornea and heart valve.
