Usage: ELISA Detection: Useful as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying mouse IL-6 protein levels.1,2,4 Purified antibody should be paired with purified antibody as the capture antibody, with purified recombinant mouse IL-6 as the standard. Western Blot: The purified antibody is also useful for Western blot applications. For Western blotting, a concentration of 1-5 μg/mL (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of 100 ng/lane of recombinant mouse IL-6 under reducing conditions.
