Flow Cytometry: Useful for intracytoplasmic staining and flow cytometric analysis to identify and enumerate IL-6-positive cells within mixed cell populations.6 Recombinant mouse IL-6 or Rat IgG1 should be used as a specificity control. Western Blot: Useful for Western blot applications. For Western blotting, a concentration of 1-5 μg/mL (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of 100 ng/lane of recombinant mouse IL-5 under reducing conditions.
