Characteristics
- Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide (CGRP)
-
Purification
- Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography
-
Immunogen
- 19aa peptide mapping to the C-terminal region of human CGRP (conjugated to KLH). This region is least conserved in other calcitonin. Species Sequence Homology: Canine (100%), bovine, sheep, rat , chicken, (92%), frog and porcine (85%). There are just 2 aa change between the human CGRP1 and CGRP2. No significant sequence homology is detected with amylin, calcitonin or adrenomedullin.
