Specificity
- Recognizes Dopamine Beta Hydroxylase (DbH) N-terminal. By immunoblot the antibody specifically reacts with a single (or double) band (s) of M. W. 70-75000 in samples of SDS-solubilized, DTT-reduced human adrenal medulla subjected to SDS-PAGE. Species cross-reactivity: By immunoblot: human, monkey (slight), sheep, canine (slight), rat and bovine. Also shown to react with equine ganglia cells.
-
Predicted Reactivity
- Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gibbon (100%) Gorilla (94%) Marmoset (89%) Mouse, Rat, Elephant, Porcine, Bovine (83%).
-
Purification
- Immunoaffinity purified

Immunogen
-
Synthetic peptide, C-SAPRESPLPYHIPLDPEG-amide, cloned from human (DbH) cDNA. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gibbon (100%), Gorilla (94%), Marmoset (89%), Mouse, Rat, Elephant, Porcine, Bovine (83%).

Application Notes
-
Approved: IHC (1:250 - 1:1000), WB (1:250 - 1:1000)
Usage: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 1:250-1:1000. Immunohistochemistry: 1:250-1:1000. Staining was evaluated in the locus ceruleus of formaldehyde-fixed, cryopreserved human and monkey brain. Showed weak staining on both human and monkey. -
