Product Details anti-CD42b Antibody

Cross-Reactivity (Details): The molecular weight of the recognized antigen is 160kDa. Reacts with glycoprotein Ib on megakaryocytes and platelets. Inhibits the ristocetin-dependent binding of Von Willebrand factor to platelets and ristocetin induced platelet agglutination. Inhibits platelet aggregation induced by Type I collagen and platelet activating factor (PAF). Immunoprecipitates the components of glycoprotein Ib complex.

Application Details

Application Notes: Suitable for use in flow cytometry: 2-g / 5 x 106 platelets/test. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Handling Advice: Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. The addition of 0.1 % (w/v) sodium azide is recommended for storage of the Reconstituted form for up to 1 month at 2-8 °C.
Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
Prepare working dilution only prior to immediate use.

Storage: 4 °C/-20 °C

Storage Comment: Store lyophilized product at 2-8 °C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -28 °C.
