Alternative Name
- Aiolos
-
Background
- Aiolos (also known as IKZF3, Ikaros family zinc finger 3 and ZNFN1A3) belongs to a family of zinc-finger proteins that also include Ikaros and Helios. Aiolos is a transcription factor that is important in the regulation of lymphocyte proliferation and differentiation, which is preferentially expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen and thymus tissue. Both Ikaros and Aiolos can also participate in chromatin remodeling.
