    Cytoplasmic Domain

    Specificity

This antibody detects Alpha 1b-Adrenoceptor (ADRA1B) at 3rd cytoplasmic domain.

    Purification

    Immunoaffinity chromatography

    Immunogen

ADRA1B antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from 3rd cytoplasmic domain of human ADRA1B.
  • Application Notes

Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (10 μg/mL). Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1xTBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

  • Target

    ADRA1B (Adrenergic, alpha-1B-, Receptor (ADRA1B))

    Alternative Name

    alpha-1B Adrenergic Receptor

    Background

The alpha-1b adrenoceptor is an Adrenergic Receptor that causes contraction of smooth muscle cells and thereby controls vascular tone, blood pressure, and accelerates the development of atherosclerosis. Decreased alpha-1b adrenoceptor is associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This adrenergic receptor also acts as a proto-oncogene when transfected into cell lines where constitutive activation of the receptor induces neoplastic transformation.Synonyms: ADRA1B, Alpha 1B-adrenoceptor, Alpha 1B-adrenoreceptor
