Characteristics
- This antibody recognizes a 24-27 kDa estrogen-regulated protein, identified as heat shock protein 27 (hsp27). HSP27 was recently found to be identical to the estrogen-induced "p29" and "24K" protein. About 50 % of breast carcinomas are positive for HSP27, especially those that are also positive for estrogen and/or progesterone receptor. HSP27 has also been implicated in drug resistance in cancer cells.

Purification
- Protein G affinity chromatography
-
Immunogen
- Partially purified human HSP27 (earlier called 24K) from breast cancer MCF-7 cells was used as the immunogen for this antibody.
-
Isotype
- IgG1 kappa

Application Notes
-
The concentration stated for each application is a general starting point. Variations in protocols, secondaries and substrates may require the antibody to be titered up or down for optimal performance.
1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.\. FACS: 0.5-1 μg/million cells,IF: 0.5-1 μg/mL,WB: 0.25-0.5 μg/mL,IHC (FFPE): 0.5-1 μg/mL for 30 minutes at RT (1),Prediluted format : incubate for 30 min at RT (2) -
