Application Notes: WB: Concentration: 0.1-0.5 μg/mL, Tested Species: Human, Mouse, The detection limit for Peroxiredoxin 6 is approximately 0.1 ng/lane under reducing conditions.
IHC-P: Concentration: 0.5-1 μg/mL, Tested Species: Human, Epitope Retrieval by Heat: Boiling the paraffin sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 20 mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections.
Notes: Tested Species: Species with positive results. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

Background: PRDX6 is also known as PRX, p29 or AOP2. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the thiol-specific antioxidant protein family. This protein is a bifunctional enzyme with two distinct active sites. It is involved in redox regulation of the cell, it can reduce H(2)O(2) and short chain organic, fatty acid, and phospholipid hydroperoxides. It may play a role in the regulation of phospholipid turnover as well as in protection against oxidative injury.
